Planning a trip to London? See our tips for fun on a budget!

Natural History Museum

There's loads for kids to be amazed at here, which is why it tops our charts of free activities in the capital! The other museums are good too, but this is our favourite! Make sure you book a slot!

British Museum

You can spend hours (or days here), there's so much to see. We recommend the Egyptian and Aztec sections to keep the kids fascinated!

Museum of London

Want to learn more about the importance of our capital city? With loads of interactive exhibits and it's all free, take them to the Museum of London!

Science Museum

Do you like hands on exhibits? The Science Museum has loads of interesting exhibits in the free section and a chance to see real space rockets and planes!

Olympic Park

The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is full of exciting playgrounds and fountains where you can let your child loose for an hour. Get an ice cream or find somewhere to soak up the sun (if it's a nice day)!

Covent Garden

Bustling Covent Garden always has something going on. Watch the street entertainers or check out the shop window displays. There's plenty of places to stop for a bite to eat too!

Crystal Palace Park

This park is a bit out of the centre, but worth a visit if your kids like dinosaurs! You'll also find a children's farm, maze, playground and lots of space for letting off steam!

Changing the Guard

This is a true symbol of London and something that everyone must see! A historic ceremony, right outside Buckingham Palace. We challenge you to grab a selfie with the guards!

Tower Bridge

If you're lucky enough, you can watch Tower Bridge open to allow large boats to pass through. Easily seen from either side of the river Thames.

Platform 9 3/4

Ok it's not the real deal, but it's still a pretty cool photo opportunity! You won't miss it, there's always loads of tourists waiting to have a photo with their trollies!
